Business Controller

As a Business Controller, you will report to the Chief Financial Officer and you will have the responsibility to steer performance and deliver in collaboration with different stakeholders the required analysis to support action plans and management decisions.

 

Main Tasks / Responsibilities / Authorities:

Closing process

  • Secure a true and fair view of reported figures by controlling the financial records which feeds the financial reporting.

  • Follow up of profitability by activity, stock, provisions, and other risks evaluation.

  • Secure Scos & expenses follow up.

  • Ensure analysis and reporting of IS/BS and statistical items in group reporting system in close collaboration with accounting team.

  • Analyze and comments the results by activity and report the deviations on Essbase.

Business plan and forecasts process

  • Coordinate the forecast activities with operationals (Volume, Gross profit, selling expenses & capex)

  • Communicate actual vs forecasts analysis and propose corrective actions.

  • Implement and follow up of the KPIs as per TD/BA guidelines and management needs.

 General

  • Act as key player in making decision process by performing business case studies, with operationals and measuring the financial impacts (Capex, Business development scenarios..)

  • Key player in all business and financial system and new processes implementation.

  • Ensure compliance to all Volvo Group Directives and guidelines, together with local regulations, by performing periodic evaluation of the processes in place.

  • Challenge daily all the tasks performed in order to propose and implement all solutions to improve efficiency & profitability.

  • Be an instant support for the CFO and operationals, by performing assistance in ad hoc controlling matters and constantly address potential areas of improvement.

  • Be a solid partner for the operationals and the Management team.

Key Skills / Competencies:

  • Good communication & presentation skills

  • Good knowledge of Finance & accounting principles.

  • High proficiency in written and spoken French & English

  • Good knowledge of SAP, VGCS, & Microsoft office

  • Ability to prioritize in a deadline driven environment with an improvement mindset.

  • Capacity to work on full autonomy but as a team player.

Required knowledge & experience:

Education / Professional Qualifications required for the position:

  • Master in Finance & Controlling

  • Min 5 years’ experience in Finance & Controlling in a multinational company
