What you will do
Summary
As a Product Quality Engineer (PQE), you will provide technical support to the Morocco Dealer Network. Identify, report and manage product quality issues liaising with Volvo Truck Corporation as well as act as an extended arm of Customer Technical Service Department. Support Regional Technical Managers with product quality updates and make joint dealer/customer visits.
Key responsibilities
As the PQE, the main tasks are to:
- Day to day technical assistance to dealer network via Technical Helpdesk (Argus).
- Be part of the Helpdesk and VAS rotation.
- Work closely together with Customer Technical Service within Volvo Maroc.
- Monitor DQR's (Field/Dealer Quality Reports) and report quality issues using MQR (Market Quality Report) routine.
- Identify existing solutions and prioritize cases.
- Evaluate options and prioritize cases.
- Establish frequency, cost, safety, geographic coverage, customer importance and economic impact.
- Monitor effectiveness of solutions implemented and give general assistance of the team.
- Analyze warranty costs and failure frequencies to identify high costs to the MC and make financial support requests to VTC.
- Support Sales Department by providing input about quality issues and problems arising due to wrongly specified trucks·
- Work closely with Technical Trainer.
- Any other duties that may be reasonably requested by your manager.
- Verify dealer compliance with Volvo Group Trucks standards related to safety, workshop operations, cleanliness, and visual identity.
- Identify training needs and support dealers in maintenance contracts, service intervals, connected services, and remote diagnostics.
- Conduct the On-the-Job Training according to real needs.

Required skills, experience and competencies
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong technical knowledge of heavy-duty commercial vehicles and diagnostic processes.
- Experience in technical support, after-sales service, warranty management, or a similar role within the automotive or commercial vehicle industry.
- Good understanding of warranty procedures, quality processes, and dealer network operations.
- Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence, convince, and build effective relationships with customers and dealers.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Customer-focused, results-oriented, and proactive approach.
- Commercial awareness and ability to balance technical and business considerations.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and perform effectively in a field-based environment.
Additional requirements
- As all documentation and communication are in English, proficiency in English is required.
- Good working knowledge of IT tools (word, Excel, PP, etc.) is required.
