Intern: Environmental Health and Safety (Summer 2025)

What you will do
• Support EHS initiatives and responsibilities including environmental compliance and regulatory reporting, inspections and audits
• Support day-to-day operations and strategic EHS initiatives
• Conduct risk assessments such as job hazard assessments, ergonomic evaluations, and equipment safety assessments.
• Evaluate existing EHS programs and training materials for improvement opportunities
• Deliver trainings on EHS topics
• Educate employees on environmental health & safety procedures and best management practices
Qualifications
• Pursing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science/Studies, Public Health or related health, safety & environmental degree and have completed 30 semester hours prior to the start of the internship. You must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills, ability to work with others in a team environment
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize to help meet deadlines
Preferred Skills and Experience
• Knowledge in national, state & local laws and regulations related to environmental health & safety
• Prior EHS experience in manufacturing environment is preferred

The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
