MISSION/PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for securing materials and components in a timely and cost-effective manner to ensure the timely delivery of finished products to satisfy customer demand.  This includes tracking material shipments, forecasting future needs, managing stock levels and processing all required system transactions.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Process daily shipment data from suppliers and manage the input into the IFS system
•    Monitor and handle the MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system output according to IFS process documentation
•    Communicate with cross-functional teams to provide timelines for material delivery
•    Utilize VPS concepts and procedures to increase efficiency and decrease costs
•    Proactively contributes to the team with a collaborative approach 
•    Self-motivated and can work under pressure
•    Communicates well with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally
•    Detail and results oriented with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines and strives for excellence
•    Regularly meet multiple deadlines while handling emergency requests in a timely manner
•    Complies with company rules and policies while following instructions from supervisory and management personnel
•    Other duties or tasks as assigned

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
•    Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience 
•    Minimum of two years of experience in Inventory Control, Production Planning, Material Planning, Warehousing or similar field 
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office
