Position Summary
This role connects Volvo Penta’s global OEM partnerships to the US market, ensuring strong local engagement, integration, and support. You will lead relationships with US-based subsidiaries of global OEMs, strengthening alignment, deepening integration into our service and support ecosystem, and unlocking long-term lifecycle value.
This role requires close collaboration with our customers and also the global account management team, you will partner closely with regional and Europe-based teams to deliver a seamless, consistent customer experience.
Based on-site in Chesapeake, VA, with frequent travel, this role works cross-functionally within the Industrial team in the US and collaborates globally with the Industrial Business Unit in Gothenburg, Sweden. The position reports to the Vice President of our Industrial Business for VPNA.
This role plays a critical part in closing the gap between global OEM partnerships and local market execution—ensuring our customers are fully supported, connected, and positioned for long-term success in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities
Ownership: Strengthen VPNA relationships with US-based subsidiaries of global OEM partners, aligned with the global account strategy and ownership
Relationship building: Act as the primary point of contact in the United States for the local entities of key global OEMs while working in close coordination with global account owners to ensure a seamless, unified customer experience
Integration: Drive integration of OEM partners into our service and support ecosystem, increasing adoption of service, parts, and lifecycle support offerings. Influence customer behavior and decision-making by demonstrating the value of the VPNA authorized service network and support model
Opportunities: Identify and enable growth opportunities in the US by understanding OEM operations, installed base, and local market needs
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally within the VPNA Industrial team (including sales, service, parts) to ensure strong coordination to drive customer success
Coordination: Partner closely with the VPNA OEM Account Manager for US-based OEMs to ensure clear partnership to deliver well-coordinated and consistent customer experience
Alignment: Engage and align VPNA dealers and service partners to effectively support and deliver consistent, high-quality service experiences to Global OEMs, Act as a cross-functional coordinator (“quarterback”), connecting global, regional, and local stakeholders to proactively address customer needs
Learn: Continue to develop a strong understanding of global OEM’s local applications and products to engage credibly with both commercial and technical stakeholders
Feedback loop: Provide insights to Volvo Penta global account owners on US customer needs, market dynamics, and opportunities to strengthen long-term partnerships and growth of OEM relationships to build loyalty and position Volvo Penta for expanded lifecycle engagement
Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, industrial technology, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Master’s degree a plus
- 5+ years of B2B account management, ideally within an OEM, distributor, dealer or similar setting; preferably in a global setting
- Experience working with global OEMs or managing relationships within complex customer organizations preferred
- Solid understanding of engine systems and industrial products
- Proven ability to operate cross-functionally and influence outcomes without direct authority
- Working experience building and managing relationships across complex stakeholder groups
- Ability to engage effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
- Advanced communication and presentation skills in both US and global contexts
- Fully proficient with Microsoft 365 tools
- Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English. Bilingual (English plus Spanish, Swedish, etc.) a plus

This job is an on-site position along with flexibility based on Volvo Group work principles and coordination with your manager
Domestic and international travel will be frequent (50%)
