What you will do
As the Parts Sales Manager for the West & Mid-West territory, you will be responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with customers to drive aftermarket parts sales, increase OEM parts penetration, and support long-term revenue growth. This role works closely with dealer partners, procurement teams, and internal sales leadership to ensure customers receive consistent support, competitive programs, and high levels of service across the dealer network.
Your Area of Responsibility (AOR) will cover the the West/Mid-West United States. It is a field based position with expected travel up to 60% both domestically and internationally to support customers, dealer partners, and business development activities across the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison for parts programs, ensuring alignment between customer needs, dealer execution, and internal sales objectives.
- Drive growth in parts sales within assigned territoy by developing strategic sales plans and identifying opportunities to expand aftermarket revenue.
- Increase OEM parts penetration by identifying opportunities to convert competitive aftermarket products to OEM solutions.
- Partner with dealer parts and service teams to ensure strong execution of programs and consistent customer support across locations.
- Conduct regular business reviews with leadership to evaluate performance, review growth opportunities, and strengthen long-term relationships.
- Develop aftermarket programs that support customer uptime, cost-efficiency, and long-term parts revenue growth.
- Analyze purchasing trends, maintenance patterns, product demand, market conditions, and competitor activity to inform sales strategy.
- Collaborate with product management, pricing, marketing, and sales teams to optimize offerings and support national account growth.
- Provide management with sales forecasts, market intelligence, competitive insights, and recommendations for future business development opportunities.
Who are you?
- You have strong business acumen, strategic sales planning capability, and the ability to drive aftermarket growth through complex customer and dealer relationships.
- You are highly skilled at relationship management, negotiation, and customer development with national fleet accounts and dealer partners.
- You are comfortable analyzing sales performance, market trends, fleet purchasing behavior, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
- You are an enthusiastic, organized, and self-directed professional who can manage multiple national accounts across a broad geographic region.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Automotive, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in parts sales, aftermarket sales, sales management, account management, or related industry experience.
- Experience working with in a customer facing environment working with dealer networks, fleet customers, OEM parts programs, industrial equipment, transportation, power generation, or related aftermarket channels.
- Strong working knowledge of parts channel management, and aftermarket distribution preferred.
- Regular day-to-day experience with Microsoft products (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Powr BI, and familiarity with database or sales performance tracking tools.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all levels of employees, leaders, customers, suppliers, partners and other stakeholders
- Can read, write, understand and speak English. Bilingual (English plus Spanish, French, etc.) a plus

• Ability to drive long distances to visit customers, dealers, distributors, partners and other Volvo sites
• Work in customer, dealer, manufacturing, or other partner environments including outdoor environments and various weather conditions
• Work in office, warehouse, customer sites, outdoors, and marine environments with varying weather, noise, dust, grease, exhaust, and operating equipment
• Work on or near open water and travel by boat or watercraft for extended periods.
• Work with loud noise levels
