What you will do
As the Business Support Officer, you will support Penta customers by providing customer service, with a focus on engine sales orders, Order to Delivery, technical sales, production, logistics and service market. You will be a key liaison for the Global Volvo Penta Oceania (VPO) Warehouse team who will support deliveries through the local VPO warehouse.
Your day to day duties will include but not be limited to:
- Work with sales administration and provide customer support through the engine sales order process
- Responsible for the configuration of orders and follow-up to make sure they are progressed correctly in the Order to Delivery (OTD) system
- Enter customer’s purchase orders into the Volvo Penta OTD system
- Provide technical sales support with customers’ orders and configurations to ensure orders are delivered according to customer requirements
- Work with Pro Sales to configure customer orders
- Handle customer documents required for the orders and make sure they are stored correctly in the OTD system
- Support supply chain with inventory management
- Assist sales team in meeting targets and deadlines.
Your future team
Reporting to our Director – Business Support, you will form part of a Business Support team of 5, under the greater Volvo Penta business of roughly 20 employees. You will be based full time at our brand new Penta facility in Yatala.
Who are you?
We believe that your behaviours and characteristics are just as important as your technical skills, so ideally you will have:
- Experience working in a similar role within a commercial business
- Great communication skills (both written and verbal)
- A clear customer focus and a passion for providing a high level of customer service
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office programs
- Experience in J.D.Edwards (advantageous)
- The ability to work autonomously and be self-driven
- A pro-active attitude and be able to prioritise well
- A team player mentality with a collaborative approach.
