What you will do

The Storeperson role will be responsible for executing all warehouse activities in a safe, cost-conscious, efficient and quality focused manner.

 

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Accurate stock picking, packaging and dispatching outgoing goods
  • Receiving incoming goods and checking for damaged goods or discrepancies between goods and invoices
  • Labeling goods and storage racking as required
  • Unloading shipping containers using a forklift
  • Using a hoist / crane to move heavy items
  • Appropriate operation of machinery to lift items to and from high levels
  • Operating a forklift to load, move or transport stock within the warehouse
  • Checking orders, stock availability and missing parts on the Volvo Group system
  • Conducting systematic cycle counts of inventory

 

 

Your future team

Reporting to our Director – Business Support, you will form part of a Business Support team of 4, under the greater Volvo Penta business of 20 total. The Storeperson role will be a solo role based in our new Volvo Penta facility in Yatala, with a move in date of January 2026. Our Penta warehouse will run a day shift only, with a flexible start time to suit the successful candidate (start time ideally between 6:30am and 8:30am).

 

 

Who are you?

We believe that your behaviours and characteristics are just as important as your technical skills. In this role, you will ideally bring:

  • Forklift license - LF
  • HR license (advantageous but not essential)
  • Extensive experience working in a warehouse environment for a large commercial business
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems / programs
  • Proactive and a self-starter who is able to prioritise well
  • Able to work independently whilst working towards team goals
  • A positive mindset with a focus on safety and continuous improvement
