What you'll be doing
As an HGV Technician, you'll play a vital role in keeping our customers on the road by:
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs to Volvo trucks
- Diagnosing and rectifying faults using advanced diagnostic equipment
- Completing inspections, MOT preparation and preventative maintenance
- Ensuring all work meets Volvo quality and safety standards
- Following safe working practices and PPE requirements
- Supporting and mentoring apprentices and trainee technicians
Who we are looking for
You'll ideally have:
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Previous experience working on HGVs, trucks, buses or commercial vehicles
OR
- Completed an HGV apprenticeship and looking to continue building your career
Most importantly, you'll be passionate about quality workmanship, continuous learning and delivering the highest standards
We welcome applications from professionals with experience across heavy vehicle maintenance and repair. If you have previously worked as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic, or Commercial Vehicle Technician, your skills are highly relevant to this role. We also value transferable expertise from allied industries; candidates with backgrounds as a PSV Technician, PCV Mechanic, Bus and Coach Technician, or a Heavy Plant Mechanic / Plant Technician are strongly encouraged to apply, as full product training on our modern fleet will be provided.
