Group Trucks Purchasing (GTP) is the global group function covering the purchase of automotive products and parts including aftermarket, for Volvo Group Truck brands. We are looking for a Powertrain components Buyer, in Curitiba, Brazil, to work on our Powertrain & Fossil Free Materials area in LATAM.

What you will do

 You will be leading the purchasing activities on your scope with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the customers maximum satisfaction. You will be negotiating QDCFTSR of the supplier base under your segments. You will perform purchasing activities related to ordering, logistics and financial flows to the suppliers.

 

You will be responsible to make sure the segment strategy is updated / implemented through the selection of the right suppliers, and by continuously challenging supplier QDCFTSR performance by using tools and purchasing/cross functional network during production and after production for Revenue segments. 

Qualifications /Competences

  • University degree in Business, Engineering or related field
  • Experience in Purchasing and/or negotiation in a supplier/customer relationship
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong team player with the ability to lead
  • Ability to be open minded, to encourage collaboration and to add value with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Multicultural experience is an asset
  • Automotive experience is a plus
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
