What you will do

At Volvo Financial Services LATAM, you will play a key role in accelerating our Data & AI journey, helping transform data into a strategic asset that drives business growth, operational excellence, and customer-centric decisions across Brazil, Chile, Mexico, and Peru.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions that support our regional Data Platform, Data Lake, analytics initiatives, AI use cases, and strategic business KPIs.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and integrations across multiple business systems and markets.
  • Support the evolution of our Azure-based Data Platform and Data Lake ecosystem.
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, governance, and operational stability of critical data assets.
  • Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Business Teams, and Global Data initiatives to enable analytics and AI solutions.
  • Support the delivery of strategic data products, dashboards, reporting solutions, and predictive initiatives.
  • Contribute to automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of data engineering practices.

Essential requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.

  • Experience designing and supporting modern data architectures and data integration solutions.

  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.

  • Experience with ETL/ELT development and data pipeline orchestration.

  • Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.

  • Knowledge of data modeling, data quality, and data governance principles.

 

Nice to have

  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Fabric, or similar data platforms.
  • Knowledge of Python, Spark, or other data engineering technologies.

  • Experience supporting AI, Machine Learning, or Generative AI initiatives.

  • Experience with financial services, banking, insurance, or leasing industries.

  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

  • Experience working in multinational and multicultural environments.
