We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Automotive Embedded Software Engineers, ideally with previous expertise in one of these areas: Powertrain Control and functional safety (ISO26262). As part of our dynamic team, you will play a key role in developing cutting-edge software solutions for automotive systems. We develop and maintain embedded application software for powertrain control with focus on transmission systems for diesel, alternative fuels and electric commercial vehicles.

 

We work in an agile way. In this position you will be a member of a cross-functional team of engineers with complementary skills committed to the common purpose of developing solutions for heavy and medium-duty powertrain electronic systems. We work in close collaboration with other development sites in Sweden and France.

 

Our software solutions are implemented mainly with help from graphical programming tools (Simulink and ASCET), with automatically generated C code.

Your main activities will include:

  • Develop software strategies and functions for powertrain control systems, aiming to enhance the final product in features such as fuel consumption, drivability, and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, system engineers, and calibration engineers to ensure seamless integration of software components into the overall system.
  • Conduct thorough testing, verification, and validation of software modules to ensure functionality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of software development processes.
  • Participating in several phases of the product life cycle, from Advanced Engineering to Product Development and Product Maintenance.

A candidate for this position must:

  • Be an Engineer with a BSc/MSc (Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computational or similar) with experience in embedded software development.
  • Have experience in Matlab/Simulink/ASCET and C programming languages.
  • Have an advanced level of English and Portuguese.
  • Share knowledge.
  • Take responsibility.
  • Be open-minded, creative and proactive.
  • Enjoy teamwork.
  • Have the availability for onsite work.

An ideal candidate for this position shall also:

  • Be eager to bring solutions from system design to verification.
  • Has previous embedded software development in one of these areas:
    • Powertrain Control,
    • Transmission systems or
    • Functional Safety SW according to ISO26262 standard.
  • Know additional programming languages (e.g. Matlab scripts, Python).
  • Knows measurement/verification tools – ATI Vision (or similar), CANalyzer.
  • Have experience with automotive communication protocols and standards (CAN, ISO26262, AUTOSAR, ASPICE)
  • Driver license for trucks will be considered a merit.
