We are seeking Automotive Embedded Software Engineers with expertise in Powertrain Control and Transmission Systems. As part of our team, you will develop cutting-edge embedded software for commercial vehicles — from diesel and alternative fuels to electric trucks.

 

Our team works cross-functionally and globally, collaborating with colleagues in Brazil, Sweden, and France.

Your role in the team

For this position, we are looking for engineers capable of working in at least one of the following areas:

 

1. Calibration & Parameterization

  • Focusing on gearbox calibration, ensuring proper parameterization for diverse vehicle applications.
  • Optimizing and validating software parameters to meet different markets, vehicle variants, and operating conditions.
  • Collaborating with system and testing teams to deliver reliable, production-ready calibrations.
  • Performing vehicle troubleshooting and analysis, supporting root cause identification and solution development.

 

2. Project Leadership (Embedded Software Projects)

  • Leading embedded software projects, planning and coordinating development activities.
  • Organizing cross-functional collaboration to ensure deliveries meet quality, cost, and time objectives.
  • Aligning technical solutions with system and product requirements across the full lifecycle.

Your main activities will include

  • Designing, developing, calibrating, troubleshooting, and/or leading projects for powertrain control functions.

  • Collaborating with hardware, system, and calibration engineers for seamless integration.

  • Conducting testing, verification, and validation of embedded software.

  • Performing troubleshooting activities in vehicles to support issue resolution and validation.

  • Participating in code reviews and contributing to continuous improvement.

  • Working throughout the full product life cycle: advanced engineering, product development, and maintenance.

What we are looking for

  • BSc/MSc in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering (or related field).

  • Hands-on experience in embedded software development or calibration.

  • Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink/ASCET and C programming.

  • Strong communication skills in English and Portuguese.

  • A responsible, proactive, and open-minded team player.

  • Availability for on-site work.

What will make you stand out

  • Experience in Powertrain Control or Transmission Systems.

  • Knowledge of automotive communication protocols and standards (CAN, AUTOSAR, ASPICE).

  • Familiarity with measurement and verification tools (ATI Vision, CANalyzer).

  • Additional programming skills (Python, Matlab scripting).

  • A truck driver’s license (considered a merit).

  • Motivation to bring solutions from system design to verification.
