Do you have passion for customer success and want to be part of securing outstanding Digital & IT solutions for the end user? As Software Engineer / Analyst & Developer you will be able to combine your deep interest in technology with a customer and upstream mindset to secure we deliver quality assured solutions for GTO Europe & Brazil Manufacturing and GTO Powertrain Production.
You will be the driver of software development during all product development phases (planning, design, implementation, deployment and maintenance). You will analyze, build, test and maintain software applications that are tailored to business specific needs and Digital transformation.
You have a logical, analytical and creative approach to problems and the ability to communicate with customers, colleagues and management to explain complex issues.
Who are you?
- You have a solid performance working as a Mainframe System Analyst & Developer and continuous improvement is in your DNA;
- You have strong software development experience in Cobol, CICS, JCL, DB2 and VSAM files;
- You know in an overall level the Industry 4.0 pillars;
- You have the ability to conduct meetings and is a good presenter;
- Your experience with RPG, Agile, as well as working in a global environment will be considered a plus.
- You have knowledge and interest for other technologies (.Net, Python, SQL)
Your main activities and responsibilities:
- Actively participate in all agreed agile events and support the business on finding techniques for effective Product Goal definition and new features in collaboration with the Squad;
- Propose changes that make the system more efficient and/or reduces operation or maintenance cost;
- Gather functional and non-functional (including security) requirements from the stakeholders;
- Develop detailed designs of applications/database based on the business requirements/User Stories;
- Develop efficient software and unit test, refining and rewriting it as necessary and communicate with any team member involved in the product increment;
- Maintain all software engineering activities across Product/Squad;
- Support end-users in runtime (second line support);
- Ensure compliance with relevant Group IT processes, methods and tools and business processes;
- Ensure applicable IT security directive is followed for the service;
- Create good practices and propose improvements using VPS (Volvo Production System) mindset and tools;
- Fully support the migration of legacy applications and work on innovation ideas based on Industry 4.0.
Education
- Proficient English and Fluent Portuguese, both written and spoken.
- Relevant university degree in IT.
