Volvo Trucks is looking for a Manager People & Culture, Communication & Integrated Management Systems to lead and develop this critical function for Volvo Trucks Latin America. This position is part of the People & Culture management team and reports to VP People & Culture Latin America.

What you will do

As Manager People & Culture, Communication & Integrated Management Systems, you will be responsible for coordinating the People & Culture network throughout Volvo Trucks Latin America, including market companies, support functions, and own dealers — ensuring alignment, collaboration, and shared ambition.

You will also oversee internal and external communication, and the strategic development and certification of our integrated management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), securing alignment with business objectives and fostering a strong, people-centered culture. Strong leadership and managing capacity is key to succeed in this role.

 

 

Key Areas of Accountability

  • People & Culture Strategy: Design and implement strategies that support business priorities and long-term growth;
  • Strategic Business Partner: Serve as a trusted advisor to the management team, providing strategic HR insights and solutions;
  • Network Leadership: Coordinate and empower the People & Culture community across all markets and functions in Latin America;
  • Talent & Leadership Development: Drive initiatives for talent identification, succession planning, and leadership growth;
  • Employee Experience & Culture: Champion Volvo’s values, fostering an inclusive, engaging, and high-performing workplace;
  • Change Management & Organizational Development: Lead transformation efforts that strengthen organizational effectiveness and agility;
  • Health, Safety & Well-being: Coordinate actions to ensure a safe and healthy workplace while advancing environmental and sustainability standards;
  • Integrated Management Systems: Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of IMS (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) ensuring certification readiness;
  • Internal & External Communication: Develop and execute a communication plan that reinforces culture, engagement, and brand reputation across Latin America;
  • Compliance & Labor Relations: Ensure full compliance with local legislation, regulations, and Volvo Group policies.

Key Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Communication, or related field;
  • Solid experience in HR leadership and managerial roles within multinational or complex organizational environments;
  • Proven expertise in talent management, leadership development, employee engagement, and cultural transformation;
  • Demonstrated success in leading large networks and cross-functional teams across multiple geographies;
  • Experience in change management, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness;
  • Strong influencing, communication, and stakeholder management skills;
  • Proficiency in HRIS and digital HR tools;
  • Experience managing internal and external communication in multicultural, multilingual environments;
  • Hands-on experience with Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) and certification processes;
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English is mandatory. Spanish proficiency is differentiator;
  • High integrity, adaptability, and resilience in dynamic business environments.
