What you will do

As Manufacturing Engineer for Embedded Software(ESW) some of your tasks will be to verify new test operations for the embedded software tool, prepare equipment and process for software download on trucks. The software tests are verified and validated both in prototype labs and/or in product builds before be released into the production environment.
The work also includes the handling of the operation sequence on current production processes as well as some tasks regarding updates and maintenance of the embedded software tool. Another part of the work will be to provide support to our internal colleagues with software-related issues, including running processes support for production lines.
Working with Embedded Software will require involvement on digitalization and IT infrastructure topics to prepare and improve production lines. The role implies cross functional work among product development, IT, quality and the production plants to get the most efficient production process applying technical knowledge and lean manufacturing concepts. Due to global collaboration, part of the tasks is to keep an open dialogue with our colleagues in other plants for sharing knowledge and process alignment.
 
Your future team
The Supporting Process team consists of  engineers/analysts and some of them are dedicated to Embedded Software (ESW) activities working with production preparation and runtime assembly workflow
The ESW team's role is to introduce and maintain products and methods in production, in a quality assured way, with special focus on embedded software features on our the products.
 
 

Required qualifications

  • Engineering degree (Electrical, Software, Mechatronic or related engineering)
  • MBA or postgraduate in Project Management or Embedded Systems is a differential
  • Advanced English speaking and writing 
  • Experience working with embedded software systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good knowledge about lean manufacturing
