What you will do
As a Product Cost Controller (PCC), you will be responsible for calculating the Standard Cost of Sales (SCS) for the Bus portfolio, providing direct support to the Commercial area in setting sales prices and monitoring and optimizing sales margins. You will work at the interface between local and global business areas, ensuring integration and effective communication between Bus Operations, Purchasing, Technology, and Engineering.
Main activities:
- Daily calculation of the material structure and pricing of variants (options) for orders generated in SICA, keeping the order availability KPI for the Commercial area above 90%.
- Daily verification that orders with GOK (produced) and INV (invoiced) status in SICA are 100% adjusted, enabling the Commercial area to proceed with invoicing instructions.
- Reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of the Bill of Materials (BOM) for reference vehicles and options whenever a specification update (introblock) occurs.
- Conducting the weekly and monthly closing of invoices and produced units in the ISSA system.
- Monthly monitoring of the variance between standard surcharge and average cost, supporting the Financial Reporting team in Quantity analysis and explanations.
Cyclical activities:
- Leading the annual standard cost calculation process for vehicles in the Bus portfolio.
- Reviewing and updating the specification of reference vehicles monitored locally and globally, together with Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Sales.
- Updating the material structure and cost of options (variants) for reference vehicles for the following year, prioritizing variants with higher market demand.
- Delivering the SCS for reference vehicles listed in the Variant Book to the Commercial area, supporting market communication based on the new cost baseline.
Who are you?
We are looking for an analytical person with logical and critical thinking, the ability to engage technically with Engineering areas, and a collaborative mindset to work across local and global interfaces. We value proactivity, organization, attention to deadlines, and a willingness to propose continuous improvements to cost processes.
Education and experience:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related fields), with technical knowledge of how the product works.
- Prior experience in Cost Controlling, Cost Engineering, or related areas, preferably within an industrial/manufacturing environment.
- Ability to evaluate the parts structure (BOM), identifying major material groups, and to analyze end-to-end processes.
Technical skills:
- SAP and related systems for standard cost and production order management: SICA, ISSA, CICS
- Power Platform (Microsoft 365): Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataflow, Datamart
- Python for automation and data analysis and MS SQL (Azure)
- Familiarity with variant and material structure management tools is a plus: WIS, EDB, Bereding, Webviewer, KOLA.
Behavioral skills:
- Logical, analytical, and critical thinking, with attention to the accuracy of calculations and pricing.
- Strong communication and the ability to engage with multiple areas.
- Proactive and collaborative mindset, with autonomy to manage local and global interfaces.
- Organizational skills and deadline management for critical closing routines.
Languages:
- English: advanced/fluent level, essential for constant interface with global teams and meetings
