What you will do:

  • As a Senior Product Development Engineer within our CSETA team (Chassis Structure, Equipment & Transport Adaptation), you will contribute to transforming the transport industry and society at large.
  • Your responsibilities will include developing innovative technical solutions for local and global projects, supporting parts localization, and solving complex quality challenges.
  • You will work closely with highly skilled colleagues across different sites, focusing on next-generation vehicles such as Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) and vehicles running on renewable fuels.
  • In this role, you will lead or contribute to technical design work that meets business targets, ensuring a balanced focus on performance, quality, cost, and timing. 
  • You will drive and support design reviews, risk analysis, root cause investigations, and DFMEA, using your understanding of mechanical design principles, FEA, and quality tools. You will also mentor colleagues and share knowledge to strengthen team capability and support continuous improvement.

 

Who are you?

You combine technical excellence with strong ownership and collaboration. You value ethics, humility, and continuous learning while enjoying working in a global setup. You bring:

  • An engineering degree (Mechanical, Mechatronics, or equivalent)
  • Solid experience in product development and delivery of mechanical design solutions
  • Knowledge in mechanical design validation, such as: FEA, tolerance stack-up and design reviews
  • Proficiency in quality tools (Risk analysis, DFMEA, Root Cause Analysis)
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal)
  • Proficiency in CAD software (preferably PTC/CREO)

 

It would be a plus if you also have:

  • Understanding of mechanical design principles, such as: chassis structural systems
  • Knowledge of truck systems and applications
  • Experience with project management or Agile methodologies
  • International and multicultural work experience
  • Experience within the Automotive industry
