What you will do?

 Your main missions and responsibilities will be:

  • Provide models and calculation results with guaranteed quality and propose where/when to perform specific simulations and analyses (Durability analysis);
  • Draw conclusions, make recommendations using finite element analysis;
  • Perform analysis and provide validated results against project objectives;
  • Support the continuous improvement of methods and tools to improve model correlation;
  • Plan, lead and carry out highly complex simulations/analysis;
  • Take responsibility for the fidelity of simulations/analysis;
  • Support project engineers at all stages of projects for technical solutions at varying levels of complexity;
  • Perform evaluation and estimation of project content to meet schedule and delivery;
  • Carry out development of methods and tools.
  • Train and guide junior engineers.

 

Your future team

You will be part of the Simulation team, within the Chassis department. This team is responsible for virtual simulations of the whole chassis parts for Latin America truck applications. It is a globally connected team, working closely with sites in Sweden, India, France, and the USA. Here, you will work at the forefront of the industry, contributing to innovative and future-oriented products.

 

Who are you?

We’re looking for a technically skilled, collaborative, and flexible engineer, ready to take on new challenges in a multicultural and dynamic environment.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and similar others;
  • Master's degree in the area will be a plus;
  • Knowledge on plastic parts durability;
  • Solid experience and proven knowledge with finite element durability analysis (related to stresses, vibrations, fatigue) for technical solutions in the automotive or heavy vehicle industry;
  • Proficiency with pre-processing tools (e.g. ANSA) for mesh generation and model preparation in addition to post-processing (e.g. nCode, Meta);
  • Proficient in Nastran, Optistruct, nCode, Meta, Ansa, Abaqus;
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken);
  • Knowledge of programming languages (Phyton, Matlab, etc.) will be an advantage;
  • Ability to work independently (being responsible for delivering on time and with the expected quality), in addition to having the ability to work in a group, managing different challenges and expectations of interested parties is essential;
  • Analytical problem-solving skills are essential
