Volvo Group Latin America is seeking a strategic Vice President, People & Culture to join our executive leadership team and lead the next chapter of growth, innovation, and cultural evolution in the region.

The Opportunity: Lead People & Culture with Purpose and Vision

 

As Vice President of People & Culture – Volvo Group Latin America, you will be at the helm of our people strategy for one of the Group’s most dynamic and evolving markets. Based in Curitiba, Brazil, you will report directly to the President of Volvo Trucks Latin America and doted lined to the SVP People & Culture of Volvo Trucks, partnering closely with them to drive ambitious growth plans while championing an inclusive, high-performance culture. As a key member of multiple executive teams, you will play a strategic role in shaping the future of our organization across the region.

 

You will also serve as a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner across regional and global steering committees, internal leadership forums, and external stakeholder networks.

 

Your Mission: Drive Business Through People, Culture, and Transformation

 

This is a business-critical leadership role for an executive who views People & Culture as a catalyst for growth, innovation, and long-term competitiveness.  As Vice President, you will shape and execute a future-focused P&C strategy aligned with Volvo’s ambitions in Latin America. You’ll lead cultural transformation, drive organizational agility, and foster a purpose-driven, high-performance environment rooted in inclusion, safety, well-being, and sustainability. You'll champion leadership development, attract and retain top talent, embed modern ways of working, and build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to secure the future of our business and workforce.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead organizational and workforce planning for the region, ensuring structure and roles are optimized for agility and growth.
  • Drive transformational initiatives, change management and organizational development programs.
  • Enhance the employee experience and engagement across all functions and levels, in partnership with managers.
  • Oversee talent acquisition, leadership development, and total rewards strategies to attract and retain critical capabilities.
  • Act as a guardian of our core values and a promoter of an inclusive, future-ready culture.
  • Lead and inspire the regional P&C community, aligning methodologies, sharing best practices, and developing strong cross-border collaboration.
  • Ensure excellence in governance and compliance (ISO / VPS / Blue Audit),and drive impactful societal engagement programs.
  • Represent Volvo in strategic external forums to build brand equity, support advocacy, and strengthen our talent ecosystem.
  • Oversee internal and external communication strategies, ensuring alignment with the company’s values, culture, and strategic direction, while strengthening employee engagement and Volvo Group’s employer brand across Latin America.
  • Coach Senior leaders to unleash their human potential.

Who You Are

 

You are a transformational executive and people leader with a strong track record of driving impact at the intersection of business strategy, people development, and organizational growth. You combine strategic foresight with empathy, resilience, and a deep commitment to building a better future for employees, customers, and society.

 

You bring:

 

  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), preferably in HR, Business, or Organizational Development.
  • Proven leadership experience in People & Culture roles at executive level, ideally with regional or global scope.
  • A strong background in change leadership, organizational transformation, and cross-border team management.
  • A future-oriented mindset, with the ability to anticipate trends and evolve culture and capabilities accordingly.
  • Sophisticated stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English; Spanish is a plus.
  • Work experience in Latin America is a plus.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and an unwavering commitment to Volvo’s values.
