We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Manufacturing Engineering Intern. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in the early stages of vehicle production—where precision, efficiency, and innovation intersect.
You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and production teams to contribute to projects that directly impact product quality, cost, and manufacturing performance.

Core Responsibilities
- The position will assist with implementation of work place organization and standardized work at each station.
- Implement lean manufacturing practices on the shop floor.
- The position will review current labor standards and review for ways to improve labor utilization eliminating waste or non-value added work
- Participate in training and development to support team deliverables
Essential Skills & Experience
- Attention to Detail: Monitoring adherence to standards and actively checking for accuracy of data received or generated before passing it on
- Communication: listening effectively, transmitting information accurately and understandably and actively seeking feedback non-defensively
- Flexibility: performing a wide range of tasks, responding to changes in direction and priorities, and accepting new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments
- Dependability/Reliability: Following through on commitments, producing timely work to promote a higher standard; pitching in to get the job done
- Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Student should have a minimum GPA of 2.75

Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Self-driven and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Summer interns may work up to 40 hours per week.

- Communicates project progress in a timely manner
- Ask questions and request assistance when needed
- Reaches out to engineers and specialist in the cross functional team for support
- Gets involved on the shop floor with operators and technicians
- Takes initiative in identifying problems and finding solutions
- Offers assistance to the manufacturing cross functional team

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $17.00 - $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
