Role Summary
The Operations Tech position will be responsible for moving material, loading fixtures, and performing "gridder" function. They will move material in the building, load sub-assembly fixtures, perform AM activity at the sub-assembly cells. They will move racks, skids, etc., full or empty. They will maintain control of inventory, process incoming material and performing cycle counts. Must be able to handle any inventory adjustments incoming from suppliers or warehouse and dispute any inaccuracies in kitting errors from warehouse. They will order any hot parts through warehouse or buyer and manage long lead item inventory to prevent line stoppages.
Job Accountabilities
- Must be able to operate mobile equipment, including spotting trailers, forklifts, tuggers, etc.
- Inspect incoming parts
- Works effectively without supervision
- Communicates well with employees from all areas of the facility
- Other duties as assigned
- Regular attendance is required
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED/equivalent
- Must have a valid Driver’s license and an acceptable driving record (CDL preferred)
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow written plans and procedures
- Basic computer skills
- Able to work shift work schedule (including rotating shifts), holidays, and overtime
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background screening, physical assessment, physical, and drug screen
- Must be able to maintain regular and reliable attendance
- Must be able to work overtime as required, and work any shift
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or technology certification in business or industrial discipline
- Training in emergency response
- Two (2) years of experience industrial environment
- Two (2) years of experience in mechanical or industrial maintenance position
- Proficient computer skills
- Knowledge of basic science and industrial mathematics concepts
- Demonstrated safety training in an industrial environment
- Experience working in a fast paced environment
- OSHA 10 or 30 hour certifi cation
