As Core Value Leader Safety, you will play a key role in driving a proactive safety culture across Sales Regions Europe and International, supporting both our own operations and our retail network. Through leadership, expertise and collaboration, you will help ensure strong safety performance and continuous improvement across multiple markets.
In this role, you will act as the subject matter expert for Occupational Health & Safety within the Sales organisation, working closely with the Volvo CE Head of Safety, regional sales teams and retail partners. Together, you will strengthen a people-centric and proactive approach to safety across our international distribution network.
The position offers flexibility in location. The role can be based at one of our owned retail operations in Norway, Denmark, Finland, Poland, Sweden or Germany, or at another Volvo CE office in Europe.
Your responsibilities
As Core Value Leader Safety, you will drive the development and implementation of safety frameworks, standards and initiatives across the sales organisation and retail network.
Your responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and implementation of Occupational Health & Safety policies, standards and roadmaps
- Acting as the Safety champion for the Sales organisation, supporting regions and retail partners with methodologies, tools and best practices
- Strengthening a proactive safety culture through awareness, engagement and training activities
- Planning and coordinating safety audits and assessments across Volvo CE and the retail network together with regional safety champions
- Conducting and supporting safety assessments to identify workplace hazards and unsafe practices
- Establishing tracking, reporting and follow-up structures to monitor safety performance and support senior leadership
- Analysing regulatory changes and working conditions to ensure continued compliance with relevant safety standards
- Supporting accident investigations and root cause analysis to identify preventive actions and share learnings across the organisation
Who you are
You are a passionate safety professional who believes that strong safety performance is built through leadership, engagement and continuous improvement.
You combine solid safety expertise with strong communication and collaboration skills, enabling you to influence stakeholders across an international organisation and retail network.
You likely bring:
- Extensive experience working with Occupational Health & Safety
- Good knowledge of ISO 45001 and other relevant international safety standards
- Experience from safety audits, assessments and incident investigations
- A structured and analytical approach with a strong focus on continuous improvement
- The ability to coach, engage and influence stakeholders at different levels of the organisation
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an international environment
- Fluency in English, written and spoken. Additional languages are considered an advantage.
Qualifications
- Degree in a technical, engineering or business-related field
- Trained or certified auditor / assessor
- Experience of project or change management in an international environment
- Willingness to travel regularly within Volvo CE’s international retail network
