We are now looking for an inspiring, business-minded, and forward-thinking Head of Logistics to be a key player in our ongoing transformation journey at Volvo Construction Equipment in Eskilstuna.

About the role
As Head of Logistics, you will be responsible for the end-to-end supply chain operations at our Eskilstuna plant, including planning, material control, material handling, logistics development, warehouse management and paint shop. You will have the opportunity to influence the production system of the future, supporting both current production and long-term strategic objectives.
In this role you will experience leaders and co-workers with a growth mindset and always in the outlook to find better ways of working and connecting to people.

 

You will lead and develop a team of approximately 170 employees through 7 direct leaders, driving operational excellence, modernization, and sustainable development. By demonstrating passion for our business while modeling integrity and credibility, you will become an integral member of the plant leadership team. 


In this role, you will:
•    Build strong relationships across the organization, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
•    Take a hands-on approach to logistics and operational management, ensuring alignment between people, processes, and business objectives.
•    Drive transformation—both technical and cultural
•    Work closely with other plant leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver customer satisfaction, profitability, and market share.
•    Drive digitalization and automation initiatives to improve logistics efficiency and reliability.
•    Balance the needs and expectations of all stakeholders, including employees, customers, owners, and society.

Who you are
You are a coaching, forward-thinking, and inclusive leader with a strong combination of business acumen, operational expertise, and people management skills. You are motivated by change and transformation and have a proven ability to deliver results in a manufacturing or supply chain environment. You bring a winning mindset for yourself and your team. 


You naturally help others grow and reach their full potential, and you build trust, engagement, and safety through your leadership.

 Additionally, you:
•    Have demonstrated leadership experience within manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain management.
•    Take a strategic perspective while understanding operational realities.
•    Ability to translate business strategy into logistics strategy
•    Communicate clearly and build and sustain strong and trustful cross-functional relationships.
•    Have experience leading complex organizations and larger teams.
•    You are recognized by empowerment of others and having the courage to act 
•    Have knowledge about AI, data analytics and automation
•    Are fluent in both Swedish and English, enabling collaboration across local and global teams.
A relevant university degree is highly valued.
