What you will do

As Head of Finance you will lead and develop a team of highly competent, engaged, and passionate finance professionals supporting Volvo CE's strategic component operation in Eskilstuna.

This is a senior leadership role where you act as a trusted business partner to the organization, combining strong financial expertise with a deep understanding of manufacturing performance and long-term value creation.

You have full responsibility for the financial agenda of the site, ensuring sound financial governance while supporting strategic and operational decision-making. You play a critical role in securing profitability, evaluating investments, driving performance improvements, and translating business strategies into measurable results.

The role requires a strong foundation in traditional finance and controlling disciplines, including financial planning, forecasting, cost management, investment analysis, business case development, and performance management. At the same time, you will operate in a Lean and Volvo Production System (VPS) environment, where financial insights must be closely integrated with operational excellence and continuous improvement.

You and your team will also play a key role in supporting the site's strategy deployment process, ensuring that financial objectives, operational priorities, and strategic ambitions are connected and translated into actionable plans throughout the organization.

Reporting to the Head of Operations & Site Eskilstuna, Robert Kusén, you will contribute to Volvo CE's strategy, “Building Tomorrow Together”. Eskilstuna is a key strategic site within Volvo CE, supplying facilities globally with a great Technology footprint, driving the development of future machines, systems and digital solutions.

Who are you?

We are looking for a senior, business-driven finance leader with a passion for manufacturing, performance improvement, and people development.

Most importantly, you bring a strong background in finance and financial leadership. You understand the fundamentals of financial management and know how to leverage financial insights to influence business decisions, improve operational performance, and drive profitable growth. Previous work experience from lean, operational excellence, or similar environments is also required.

You understand how financial performance is created on the shop floor and how finance can support strategy execution through structured performance management and strategy deployment.

You are comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels, partnering with senior leaders while remaining close to the business. You build credibility through strong financial acumen, commercial understanding, and personal integrity. As a leader, you create engagement, develop capability, and build high-performing teams that deliver results while living Volvo Group's values.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in senior finance leadership roles within manufacturing or industrial operations.
  • Strong expertise in financial planning, controlling, investment analysis, costing, profitability management, and business performance management.
  • Proven ability to act as a strategic business partner and influence decision-making at senior management level.
  • Demonstrated experience from manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of operational drivers and value creation.
  • Experience working with lean, strategy deployment, operational excellence, or similar business systems.
  • Strong leadership experience with a proven track record of developing teams and driving organizational performance.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
