Description of Thesis Work
Be a part of shaping the future through Analytics and AI explorations, both working on a specific use case and investigating the latest trends in approaches and Ways of Working.
The thesis aims at developing a meta-learning-based scalable measurement model for the Volvo excavator machine’s undercarriage. The model can automatically detect and measure undercarriage components from images or videos while adapting rapidly to new excavator models with minimal labelled data.
This can be suitable for the student with studies within for example Industrial Engineering and Management / Production development / Automotive Engineering/ Computer Science/ AI Engineering or equivalent. Computer vision and machine learning are two valuable skill sets. Some programming skills in Python are essential. Moreover, AI and ML knowledge is a merit.
