Drive our Digital Transformation as a Senior Contributor

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our competent agile team. This is a critical role where you will be instrumental in the support, maintenance, and evolution of a set of core applications hosted on the ServiceNow platform.

 

This role requires you to take ownership of complex challenges and drive best practices. You will be expected to guide technical direction within the team and ensure the robustness and scalability of our solutions. You will be part of the Chapter ServiceNow Sweden Team and report to the Chapter lead Sweden manager.

 

Key Responsibilities and Impact:

 

  • Architectural Guidance: Act as a technical expert within the team, providing guidance on design and implementation choices, ensuring alignment with ServiceNow 'Best Practices' and overall IT strategy.
  • Solution Development: Deeply analyze and understand complex business requirements to design and develop high-quality, maintainable, and scalable solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in our Scrum team, contributing to 3-week sprints that cover a mix of major strategic initiatives, platform enhancements, and critical maintenance activities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with the business, the Solution Leader, and the rest of the team to ensure technical solutions deliver maximum business value.

Required Expertise

This is a senior-level position requiring demonstrable, in-depth experience and technical leadership capabilities.

 

  • Extensive Platform Experience: Minimum of 6+ years of hands-on experience as a Software Developer/Engineer, specifically within SaaS platform architecture and development.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expert-level command of technologies including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, XML, and experience with server-side scripting languages like Jelly or similar platform-specific equivalents.
  • Integration Expertise: Strong practical experience with REST/SOAP integrations and custom API development to connect ServiceNow with the broader enterprise landscape.
  • ServiceNow knowledge (Strong Merits)
    • Solid, proven understanding of the ServiceNow architecture, its core APIs (especially Glide API), and advanced best practices.
    • Expertise in delivering maintainable custom-made solutions/applications on the ServiceNow platform.
    • Previous demonstrable experience in leading development and comprehensive management of the ServiceNow platform ecosystem.

This role is mandatory on-site in Eskilstuna, Sweden. The entire team is based out of this office, and collaboration requires your physical presence. You are required to work on-site at the office for this role.
