About Us

In Operations, we manufacture and deliver the Volvo Construction Equipment ecosystem around the world, operating from our 12 sites across 4 continents. We work together across functions to always put the customer at the center of our decisions and achieve best-in-class performance while evolving with the world around us. We are engaged, skilled, and continuously improving, and we expect the same from you.

This is Us, Your New Colleagues

We are a passionate team responsible for VPS within Volvo CE, living our philosophy by creating flow, focusing on performance, continuously improving and involving people. If you want to lead transformation, join our global team, add value to Volvo CE, and contribute to our mission.

How You Could Make an Impact

Inspired by our philosophy, as a Global VPS Coach, you will help develop and implement a people-centric approach to Lean. You will work with many stakeholders in Operations to design capabilities and support structures that will guide and challenge leaders and their teams to develop “how to improve” and “how to involve.”

As a Global VPS Coach, you will support organizations and teams to grow and become self-sufficient in driving performance in their own processes and across the value flow. You will contribute with your manufacturing expertise (i.e. in logistics, fabrication, assembly or quality) to support the transformation of multiple sites, and coach management teams in setting structures for continuous improvements. To improve our involvement and performance, you will take lead in creating modern training materials to suit multifaceted training needs and train colleagues in VPS methods. Additionally, you will support various initiatives and projects.

As we continue to evolve and shape the future of operations, we also want to strengthen our capabilities in automation, digitalization and AI. We value candidates who have experience in, or a strong interest for, how digital tools, data-driven insights, and AI can enhance learning, development, and continuous improvement — for example through smart applications, digital training methods, or advanced analytics. Your ability to bring external perspectives and innovative thinking will be key to our journey ahead.

Who Are You?

  • Solid experience in manufacturing operations; especially in logistics, fabrication, assembly or quality.
  • An experienced leader with practical experience in Lean principles.
  • Skilled in coaching and eager to interact with multiple stakeholders across our global industrial footprint, building trusting relationships (i.e. from operators to plant manager), collaborating, and communicating effectively.
  • Motivated by continuous improvements and driven by cooperation and facilitation, creating tangible results.
  • Holding a university degree or equivalent experience, with extensive knowledge of the manufacturing environment and its processes.
  • Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
  • Experience or interest in how digitalization and AI can support learning, improvement, and development through innovative tools and data-driven insights.

Duration and Location

  • Permanent
  • Location: Volvo CE site, Europe
