We are on an exciting journey within Volvo Group Digital & IT. Digital Delivery is a new function within the Volvo Group Digital & IT that aims to identify and execute on new digital initiatives and modernize existing solutions across the Volvo Group brands. With a new product-centric operating model and modern technology architecture we create digital products that are profitable, scalable and differentiated. We use a cross-functional approach to work on product design and deliveries that improves business performance and creates value for the entire Volvo Group. Here you will lead a team of software engineers who learn continuously and embrace change to stay ahead.

 

What you will do

 

As a Software Engineer ServiceNow you will be part of a competent agile team working with a set of applications hosted on the ServiceNow platform. You will, together with the team, be responsible for support, maintenance, product enhancements, and the evolution of the applications hosted on the platform. Your role consists of being involved in understanding the requirements of the business, developing solutions that meet the requirements of the business and that developments are implemented on the platform according to 'Best Practices' from ServiceNow. You will be part of a scrum team working in 3-week sprints. We have a mix of larger initiatives, enhancements, and maintenance activities on-going. You will work close to the business, the solution leader, and the rest of the team working with these applications.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • You have experience in delivering maintainable custom-made solutions/applications on the ServiceNow platform.
  • You have experience in SaaS platform architecture and have a structured way of working. It is also important that you are a great team player with social skills. We also see you as an excellent problem solver that works well independently as well as in a team.
  • 4–6 years of experience in development and management of the ServiceNow platform.
  • A solid understanding of ServiceNow architecture and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, XML, MySQL, and ideally Jelly.
  • Knowledge of REST/SOAP integrations and custom API development.
  • A strong knowledge of the Glide API and best practices.

 

You will be part of the Chapter ServiceNow Sweden Team and report to the Chapter lead Sweden manager.

Who are you?

We are looking for a motivated and experienced developer who has a genuine interest in ServiceNow and digital transformation. You should be comfortable working in an agile environment, able to work independently as well as part of a team. Ideally, you have 4–6 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow, with a solid understanding of its architecture, best practices, and SaaS platforms. Your technical skill set includes JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, XML, MySQL, and experience with REST and SOAP integrations. You are detail-oriented, structured in your approach, and passionate about developing reliable solutions that meet business needs. As a person, you are a problem solver with strong social skills, eager to learn and adapt to new challenges. You want to contribute to innovative digital solutions that make a positive impact on society and help shape the future.

This job position is in Eskilstuna, Sweden as the whole team is based out of Eskilstuna.
