Background
The Digital Product Passport (DPP) is part of the European Union’s efforts to increase traceability, transparency, and circularity throughout the product lifecycle. By collecting and making relevant product information digitally accessible, companies can improve their management of product data while creating opportunities for new processes, services, and business models.
Thesis Scope & Deliverables
The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the opportunities that a Digital Product Passport can create for a company and how it can be used to generate business value.
- What opportunities can a Digital Product Passport create for the company’s operations?
- What product and information data need to be made available?
- How can a DPP contribute to increased traceability, efficiency, and circularity?
- What challenges and barriers need to be addressed when implementing a DPP?
- What organizational, process-related, and technical requirements are associated with the implementation of a DPP?
