Job Summary
The Regional Commercial Director (RCD) is responsible for commercial activities / regional KPI’s supporting commercial business goals, including but not limited to; 1) New coach regional sales volume including gross margin target, 2) Pre-Owned regional sales volume including gross margin target, 3) Service revenue external sales including gross margin target, 4) Parts sales revenue regionally including gross margin target. Regional Commercial Director (RCD) is the owner/entrepreneur of an assigned Zone/regions and will take actions with risk/benefit accordingly.
This is a remote role with required travel to multiple sites and visit customers within territory.
Core Responsibilities
- Prevost regional head and customer commercial leader within all customer management functions
- Leading and fostering winning teams, cross functionally, while challenging status quo
- Commercial management of regional defined objectives supporting Prevost financial and sales volume targets
- Commercial leader amongst new coach, preowned, service & parts sales / gross margin targets (end to end performance)
- Strategy owner against regional strategy & deployment supporting revenue streams of all commercial activities
- Ability to travel to multiple sites and visit customers within territory
- Additional responsibilities assigned by manager
Required Competencies
- Familiar with long/short sales cycles
- Customer facing sales experience (field with solid track history)
- Negotiation skills – ability to balance both sides of sales equation (customer/business objectives)
- Conflict management/stress management
- High degree of fostering team working within demanding environment
- Business owner mentality (entrepreneur mindset) with strong financial acumen
- Ability to interpret Profit & Loss (P & L) statement – with ability to develop strategies/business management corrections to exploit market opportunities, business development
- People oriented/open minded approach
- Push and care leadership style – drives results but knows how to balance people motivation with business objectives
- Commercial crew experience or working knowledge
- Good cross functional abilities/skills within the organization
- Ability to lead budget related activities and execute/adjust accordingly
Minimum Education Required
- 4-year degree preferred, business background or equivalent experience
- Field sales, parts, service sales experience is required
- Additional training, specialized within negotiation, people or culture is preferred
- Historical sales training events – supporting value based selling mindset
Minimum Years of Experience Required
- 5 years of leadership experience required
- 3-5 years of previous field sales, service, parts sales experience required (or other equivalent)
- 2 years Mid-senior role managing business functions or cross functional teams
