The Advanced Engineering Portfolio Leader, Electromobility is a senior position which influences the entire organization’s strategies, technical concepts, and tactical deliveries.
You will support in shaping our future technical direction, ensuring our products and solutions maintain a leading position and consistently meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability.
The Advanced Engineering Portfolio Leader is responsible for overseeing the portfolio of Advanced Engineering projects within the department. This includes project tracking, strategic alignment, financial oversight, and effective internal and external communication to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and technology roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management:
- Track and monitor the status of ongoing AE projects, including gate status, budgeting, timelines, resource allocation, and identification of projects involving public funding.
- Maintain clear documentation and reporting to stakeholders regarding project progress and portfolio status.
Strategic Alignment & Decision Support:
- Actively participate in the evaluation and selection of new AE projects based on established roadmaps, technology strategies, and business priorities.
- Provide strategic input and analytical support to management in portfolio prioritization decisions.
- Technical Knowledge & Expertise:
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of global developments in truck electrification technologies, industry trends, and competitor activities.
- Leverage expertise from the automotive industry, specifically electrification advancements in trucks and cars, to inform portfolio decisions.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Clearly communicate portfolio decisions, statuses, and strategic priorities to internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate alignment and collaboration across departments and teams, promoting transparency and unified objectives.
What to bring
- Min. five years of experience of engineering roles for electrification of vehicles. Min. two years’ experience in leading projects.
- Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities.
- Knowledge and understanding of electrification technologies, preferably in heavy-duty vehicles, with relevant experience from automotive electrification.
- Effective communication skills, with experience in stakeholder engagement and alignment processes.
- Ability to analyze industry trends and technological advancements.
- Financial acumen and experience with budgeting, public funding, and resource allocation.
- Proven capability in managing complex project portfolios and prioritizing competing demands.
- Engineering education, preferably a MSc in Electrical, Physics, Mechatronics or similar.
