As part of Volvo's endeavor to fulfill the company goals around safety, efficiency and sustainability, Motion Estimation & Vehicle Automation (MEVA) will fully utilize vehicle platform technology developing SW solutions that contribute to centralized vehicle ego state estimations and autonomous driving capabilities, enabling a optimal control of the vehicle motion for conventional and autonomous driving. Join the MEVA Agile Release Train and embark on the journey to develop the future Volvo Group Vehicle Motion and Management systems and functions.

Who are you?

We are looking for a person who can create an efficient and trustful day-to-day operation. You have proven experience as a technical leader and excel getting things done and cleared out. It is important that you have an innovative and creative mind-set in order to inspire and challenge your organization. You also have a true can-do attitude, a strong quality focus and a personal drive to reach the objectives and targets set for your area of responsibility, understanding how these contribute to the Volvo Group vision and strategy.

 

As a person, you have a broad technical know-how combined with very good people skills and a strong belief in agile methods. You have a strong ability to inspire, develop and motivate individuals and teams. Most of all, change is not a problem for you, and you deal with it comfortably and effectively by seeing the bigger picture.

 

To be successful in this role, we believe that you have the following qualifications and experience :-

 

  • Master of Science in Computer Science, Electronics or equivalent
  • Minimum 7 years of experience from automotive electronics development both software and hardware
  • Documented technical leadership
  • Experience of agile methods such as SCRUM, KANBAN, SAFe framework etc. is meriting
  • Experience from working in distributed automotive electrical systems (Autosar knowledge is meriting)

 

As MEVA train Product Manager, you are expected to possess an open multi-brand and multi-cultural mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to take initiative while driving results and leading others effectively. You should excel in prioritization, removing roadblocks and maintaining a business- and customer-oriented approach. Additionally, you should demonstrate inspiring leadership, fostering a positive work environment and coaching colleagues to achieve their best performance.

What’s in it for you?

On our exciting adventure to develop the future at Volvo Group, we are now looking for you – our new PM for the Motion Estimation & Vehicle Automation release train, MEVA. 

 

In this position, you will be the voice of the customer within the ART, and work with the brands and cross functional stakeholders to understand and communicate their needs. Other important aspects of the role are to represent the ART in various fora’s, prioritize the deliveries from the ART and contribute to improving the ways of working. You will also be a key person driving the development of our to technical roadmap.

 

If you believe in the agile way of working, this position offers you the challenge to be in the center of the development, with the opportunity to be part of developing new vehicle dynamics systems for automated- and electromobility applications.

 

As Product Manager you are owner of the ‘what’ and the ‘why’. One of many interesting aspects of this role is that you are involved in all aspects of the development lifecycle, from advanced engineering and into the maintenance phase.
With support from the technology road map you have created for the area, you will have content authority for the program backlog of the ART.

 

In this position, you will report to the Global Technology Manager - MEVA and be part of the management team.
