The Vehicle Motion & Thermal Management Technology stream leads and develops complete vehicle motion- and thermal control solutions for Safe, Sustainable and Efficient transportation. Our technology scope is broad and involves advanced mechatronic systems related to the motion and optimization of energy in our vehicles. 

 

We are a Brake Control System team within Vehicle Motion Management. Our team is responsible for brake control hardware and brake system end user functions.

To succeed in this role, we believe you have the following qualification and experience to:

 

  • Master of Science in Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or similar 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a hardware engineer
  • Experience in using CAD systems
  • Knowledge in Volvo HW release processed and tools (eg: KOLA, PDM, PIL) is considered to be a merit

What's in it for you?

In this role as a Brake Control System HW Engineer, you will be responsbile for requirement specification, integration and vehicle level verification of the brake control system hardware.

 

You are also comfortable to:

 

  • Lead the integration of brake control system components into our vehicle platforms
  • Lead the HW verification activities on vehicle level
  • Lead Quality Management processes including FMEA for your area.
  • Provide input to the Brake System roadmap and lead investigations to explore alternative concepts for brake control system hardware components.
  • Lead complex group tasks with versatile stakeholders
