Business Architect

Location:

Göteborg, SE, 417 56

Position Type:  Professional
Permanent/Temporary:  Permanent

Transport is at the core of modern society. Imagine using your expertise to shape sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions for the future. If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next-gen technologies and the sharpest collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.

What you will do

As a Business Architect, you will play a key role in enabling strategic transformation and creating value for both our customers and VFS. Through our Strategy-to-Execution approach, you will help translate business strategy into clear priorities, capabilities and outcomes, ensuring that initiatives across the organization are connected to our overall business vision. You will bring structure and transparency to complex business challenges, helping teams understand not only what we are doing, but also why we are doing it and what value we aim to create.
A key part of the role will be to further develop and maintain VFS’ business architecture knowledge base, framework and common language. This includes shaping and connecting key business architecture artifacts such as product and business models, value streams and business capability maps. You will use these tools to create a shared understanding of how the business operates today, where we want to go and what capabilities are required to get there.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization throughout the initiative lifecycle, helping teams define scope, objectives, expected business value and required capabilities while ensuring alignment with strategic priorities. By connecting strategy, business needs and execution, you will help create transparency across initiatives and enable better decision-making.
The role will also contribute to governance by providing guidance on business architecture standards and supporting alignment with the VFS target architecture. You will participate in the VFS Design Authority process and help ensure that architectural decisions are considered from a broader business and strategic perspective.
As a trusted advisor, you will facilitate collaboration and create a common understanding between business and technology stakeholders. You will operate across functions, cultures and organizational boundaries, helping teams navigate complexity and accelerate execution while maximizing business impact.

Who are you?

You are a strategic and collaborative professional who enjoys working at the intersection of business strategy, organizational capabilities and technology. You are comfortable navigating complexity and creating structure where different stakeholders, perspectives and priorities need to come together.

You have experience working with business architecture, enterprise architecture, business transformation or a closely related discipline, and you are comfortable operating across business and technology environments.
You have a strong understanding of the BIZBOK® Guide and business architecture principles, and you naturally think in terms of value streams, capabilities and business outcomes rather than processes alone.
You are able to recognize patterns and cut through operational noise to identify core business challenges. By translating contextualized business language into a standardized business language, you help the organization distinguish truly unique innovations from recurring challenges that can be addressed through proven solutions.

You have a global mindset and are comfortable navigating complex, decentralized organizations and influencing stakeholders across functions, markets and cultures. You enjoy working with people, communicating clearly and building shared understanding around complex topics.

You are proactive and improvement-minded, take ownership and are comfortable challenging existing ways of working. You bring curiosity, creativity and a solution-oriented mindset and are able to turn complex challenges into clear recommendations and actionable outcomes.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you bring:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
•    Experience working at the intersection of business strategy, capabilities, processes and technology.
•    Strong understanding of business architecture frameworks, methodologies and best practices.
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable strategies.
•    Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
•    Experience with enterprise architecture modeling tools and software.
•    Experience from the financial services or automotive industry is highly beneficial.
•    Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards within the finance industry is a plus.
•    An open-minded and creative approach to complex challenges, including the ability to apply methods such as Design Thinking.
•    Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a global team.

•    CBA® (Certified Business Architect) certification is highly preferred.
