Business Controller Electromobility

Your future team

Electromobility Controlling & Product Finance is part of the global Controlling & Product Finance team in Volvo Group Trucks Technology. We are the Business Partners of Electromobility Engineering, by providing business analysis, financial direction and product cost expertise tailored to optimize the performance of the function and its project portfolio. 

We are a team of 10 Business Controllers, Finance Project Managers and Product Finance Engineers in Gothenburg. Now we are looking for a new colleague for a role as Business Controller!

What you will do

At Electromobility Controlling & Product Finance you will contribute to the transformation of Volvo, the transport industry and society at large. You oversee financial reporting and analysis for R&D, both from a project and from a line organization perspective. With an open and positive attitude, you drive to improve! Your ability to communicate and to work with people on different levels in the organization is essential. 

Your main focus will be to:

•    Support and challenge R&D projects in making cost estimates and analysis in front of business decisions
•    Support Engineering Vice Presidents and their management teams with financial expertise and guidance
•    Secure month end closing deliveries
•    Plan and follow up Electromobility Capex
•    Perform internal invoicing, accruals and some other transactional activities related to projects
•    Work with continuous improvements, secure continued digitalization
•    Ad hoc financial analysis
•    Be an active member of the global Controlling & Product Finance team

Who are you?

In this role, you will bring: 

•    Education with a relevant Finance degree
•    A few years of work experience as Business Controller or similar
•    A strong analytical mind, skilled at analyzing and presenting numerical data
•    IT proficiency – Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power Point. 
•    Digital literacy – finding it easy to adapt to digital tools and systems. Engaged in driving automation using these kinds of tools.
•    Strong communication skills with an ability to build trust and lead others
•    Action orientation with an ability to plan and replan in times of change
•    An interest the potential of technology to shape a greener future
