We, at Enterprise IT Security, are on a mission to secure the IT journey for the Volvo Group. We work closely together with stakeholders across several Business Areas (BAs), Truck Divisions (TDs), and Group Functions (GFs). While the BAs are responsible for driving the business, the TDs provide research, development, purchasing, manufacturing, and assembly. Within Volvo Group, the GFs own the Group agenda, provide strategic direction, and have global responsibility in group-wide functions such as IT, legal, compliance and security.  

   

With Enterprise IT Security, you will be part of Group Digital & IT (Group Function). A global and diverse team of highly skilled professionals who work with passion, trust each other, and embrace change to stay ahead. Enterprise IT Security (EITS) works in close collaboration with both Group Security function and security functions within TD’s, BAs and GFs. Together we work to build a security posture that is best in class.   

 

The CDC Operations and Transformation lead is responsible for driving operational excellence within the Cyber Defense Center and leading transformation initiatives to enhance the organization’s cybersecurity maturity. This role combines leadership, innovation, and process improvement to ensure the cybersecurity team operates efficiently and adapts to emerging challenges. 

Main Responsibilities: 

 

  • Drive strategic transformation initiatives to modernize and optimize cybersecurity processes, tools, and technologies. 
  • Oversee CDC operations, ensuring seamless execution of security processes and workflows. 
  • Manage and drive financial planning for CDC operations and transformation initiatives, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. 
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization while maintaining or enhancing security effectiveness. 
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the CDC 
  • Collaborate with governance teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. 
  • Provide regular operational and transformation progress updates to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders. 
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and redundancies in existing CDC operations and processes. 
  • Develop and implement initiatives to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and reduce operational risks. 
  • Collaborate with leadership to define and execute the cybersecurity transformation roadmap, aligned with business goals and evolving threat landscapes. 
  • Partner with stakeholders to establish clear communication channels and ensure alignment on cybersecurity goals and objectives. 

Qualifications:  

 

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in cybersecurity. 
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives. 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Leadership abilities to inspire, motivate, and guide teams through change and transformation. 
  • Collaborative mindset, with experience working across diverse teams 
  • Proven track record of leading cybersecurity operations and transformation projects in a complex enterprise environment. 
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles, tools, and technologies (e.g., SIEM, SOAR, firewalls, endpoint security). 
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls. 
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus. 
  • Proficiency in project management and change management practices.
