We are now looking for a CFO to join Volvo Penta’s Marine Business Unit and take a key role in shaping the financial direction of a global and rapidly evolving business. We have high ambitions to double our sales by 2030, and in this role you will be instrumental in driving performance, enabling growth and supporting this transformation.

 

As CFO, you will lead the financial agenda for the Marine Business Unit, driving performance, enabling growth and supporting the transition toward sustainable and innovative marine solutions. You will be part of the Marine Business Unit management team and report to the SVP, Head of Marine Business Unit.

What you will do

You will have full financial responsibility for the Marine Business Unit, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and capital employed. A central part of the role is to act as a strategic business partner, supporting decision-making across functions such as Sales, Operations and Product Management to drive profitable growth.


You will lead business performance management by developing frameworks, KPIs and tools, and ensure structured follow-up across segments, products, projects and markets. You will also be responsible for financial planning, balancing sales performance with investments and cost levels to secure both short- and long-term profitability.


In close collaboration with the organization, you will drive operational excellence, including cost structure improvements, supply chain performance and inventory management. You will also lead transformation initiatives within digitalization, automation and process harmonization.


The role includes responsibility for governance, risk management and compliance, ensuring strong internal controls and alignment with Volvo Group standards. You will act as a key interface toward Group Finance and external stakeholders, while also contributing to strategic initiatives such as business development and M&A activities.


A key part of your role will be to lead, develop and inspire a global finance organization, building strong teams and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

 

Your future team

You will be part of the Marine Business Unit leadership team and work closely with senior stakeholders across the global Volvo Penta organization and the Volvo Group.The environment is international, fast-paced and collaborative, with strong ambitions to grow the business and strengthen its position in sustainable marine solutions. You will lead a global finance organization and work cross-functionally to support both strategic and operational objectives.

 

Who are you?

You are a senior finance leader with a strong business mindset and the ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on leadership. You are comfortable navigating complex global organizations and driving performance through collaboration and clear direction.

 

  • Extensive experience in senior finance roles within global, commercial or industrial organizations
  • Strong business partnering experience supporting executive decision-making
  • Proven leadership experience in building and developing high-performing teams
  • Solid experience in financial management, performance steering and business planning
  • Fluent in English, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
