We’re looking for a driven and analytical Credit & Trade Finance Manager who is ready to take ownership of credit strategies, trade finance solutions, and strong business relationships. What you will do
As Credit & Trade Finance Manager, you’ll lead credit strategy and financial risk management for our Market Unit Importer Business while supporting Volvo Penta globally with trade finance solutions. You will:

  • Financial Analysis & Credit Management: Conduct financial analysis, recommend credit limits, and serve as a voting member of the local credit committee.
  • Customer Account Monitoring & Risk Management: Monitor customer accounts and manage credit insurance coverage to mitigate financial risk.
  • Financial Solutions: Negotiate bank offers, manage distribution of letters of credit and other trade finance tools.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration: Maintain effective communication with business partners and internal stakeholders across the organization.
  • Compliance & Legislative Monitoring: Track regulatory changes and ensure compliance with local legislation.
  • Global Community & External Representation: Participate in Volvo Penta's global credit management community and represent the function in internal and external forums.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and deliver monthly and annual financial reports.

 

You will be part of the Finance & Business Support team within Volvo Penta Importer Business, reporting to the Finance & Business Support Manager. Daily work involves close collaboration with the Global Credit & Trade Finance Manager and the wider credit management network.

Who you are

You have a strong financial background, commercial awareness, and the ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You bring:

  • A university degree in Finance or Business Administration, and at least 5 years of experience in credit & trade finance, preferably in banking.
  • Advanced analytical skills and proficiency in credit analysis tools, SAP, and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to various stakeholders.
  • A results-oriented, self-driven, and proactive approach, combined with strong business acumen.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Additional languages are an advantage.
