Digital Product Owner - Wiring Harness (PLM/Electrical CAD)

What you will do

At Volvo Group Digital & IT you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. You will:  

 

  • Lead the digital product area for Cabling & wiring harness at Volvo where you will be a key player in our digitalization journey to secure good documentation quality and engineering efficiency. 
  • Contribute actively in studies and investigations to define our future solutions and PLM landscape for wiring harness documentation, modeling and data management, focusing on how electrical and wiring harness data are created, structured, and reused from concept to service.
  • On a daily basis lead and support an agile team, securing efficient support and stable production for the current wiring harness tools and solutions, including lifecycle management, Service Level Agreements and incident/problem follow-up.
  • Own and manage the team backlog: clarify purpose and priorities, translate roadmap into deliverables, order and visualize work, and secure that feedback from users and stakeholders is continuously collected and acted upon.
  • Manage dependencies and collaborate with other digital product teams, engineering organizations and business partners to secure endtoend value flow and a coherent virtual product development environment.
  • Take responsibility for budget and financial followup for the owned digital products and solutions in scope, ensuring that investments are valuefocused and that decommissioning is planned and executed when applicable.

You will join one of the teams connected to the PLM department within Volvo Group Digital & IT, where our purpose is to manage the Virtual Product definition and ensure the highest data quality to support seamless virtual collaboration across the Volvo Group. 

 

  • You will be working in a truly global and multicultural environment, leading an agile team with team members located in both Sweden and India. 
  • You will collaborate closely with highly skilled colleagues in PLM, electrical/electronic engineering and product development to secure an efficient working environment for virtual crossfunctional collaboration in product development projects and improve quality and virtual trust.

Essential requirements 

 

  • You have strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills: you are an openminded team player who can build trust, align stakeholders and lead in a global context. You are service minded and have an owner’s mentality. 
  • Experience from wiring harness development and related digital solutions, including a good understanding in way of working and engineering needs for wiring harnesses documentation.
  • Hands-on experience and good understanding of the following tools and domains: Siemens Capital Harness or SABER, CATIA V5, CREO Parametric and related PLM integrations.
  • Experience as Product Owner, Digital Product Owner, Solution Lead, Team Lead or similar role in an agile environment, including backlog management, stakeholder collaboration and endtoend lifecycle responsibility. 

 

Nice to have 

 

  • Understanding of the Volvo KOLA Logic and virtual product data management 
  • Experience with lifecycle management of enterprise digital products, including SLAs, support models and decommissioning.
  • Familiarity with security and compliance requirements for IT solutions (e.g. internal control frameworks, data protection, critical applications).
  • Experience from automotive product development and virtual verification/validation processes.
  • Experience from highly integrated environments combining PLM, CAD, electrical/electronic systems, and manufacturing engineering.
