The Vehicle Motion & Thermal Management Technology stream leads and develops complete vehicle motion- and thermal control solutions for Safe, Sustainable and Efficient transportation.
Our technology scope is broad and involves advanced mechatronic systems related to the motion and optimization of energy in our vehicles. We are looking for a highly motivated engineer to strengthen our team. As End User Function Owner (EUFO) within the Brake System, you will be part of the fabulous development team in Vehicle Motion Management sub-stream. You will have the global responsibility of the Brake Maintenance and Monitoring end user functionality and across Volvo Group Trucks and Buses brands.
Who are you?
We are looking for a skilled engineer with experience working with End User Functions and its requirements, preferably within automotive industry, to develop brake system related End User Functions. To be successful in this position, you need to have excellent communication and networking skills and a can-do attitude. You can take decisions, engage and inspire. You have confidence in your abilities to influence outcomes, are structured and creative, and are passionate about networking across organizations to achieve shared objectives.
Required experience and qualifications:
- Education in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical/Mechatronic engineering or a similar technical field of study
- At least 3 years work experience in function development
- Familiar with tools such as Matlab/Simulink, C/C++, GIT, Vector DaVinci, CANoe & CANalyzer, SystemWeaver (SE-TOOL) or similar
- Knowledge in Brakes system, Volvo toolchain, functional safety, cybersecurity, and C Driving license is considered as merit.

The work consists of specification and review of function and SW requirements, but also development of new functions and customer features. You will support internal customers, aftermarket, production and meet end customers. You will perform tests in vehicles as well as tests in virtual and real environment. You will be a part of developing the global roadmap for future functions and features. You will be an important member in an agile team, contributing to short term deliveries as well as long term strategies.
