At the Energy and Storage Engineering (ESE) section, we're responsible for the battery solution. At our section, we are accountable for the lifecycle management of the batteries, from advanced engineering, throughout product development into the maintenance phase. In the Service box and Ventilation group we’re looking for a highly experienced engineer which is not afraid to take the lead and further strengthening the development of our components, contributing to the performance of the overall battery system.

What will you do
As a service box architect, you will work in the mechanical design team as a lead technical engineer. We are responsible for the structural design of the service box or often called battery distribution unit (BDU). Along with other architects from other expert areas you will define the technical solutions and ensure that we meet the system design requirements for our products, lead proof of value and proof of concept internally and together with external partners. For each project you will prepare the material for the rest of the team and highlight the key technical areas which need extra attention. You will be a key player when it comes to requirement balancing and optimization on a system level as well as mentoring other team members on the topic. You will lead and prioritize advanced engineering and benchmarking activities. You will be responsible for the team´s technical roadmap. Being helpful, organized and a good communicator is important in this role since you will be the go-to person when things get difficult.

As an individual with great battery knowledge, it is expected that you educate the team on battery technology, battery/BDU requirements and global technology development.

To be successful in this role, we believe that you have/are:
•    A Master of science or PhD degree in engineering in a relevant technical field.
•    At least 10 years of experience, preferably as Product Owner, Principal engineer or similar within battery hardware development.

•    Vast experience from leading technology teams within the high voltage battery sector.
•    Proven track record from delivering multiple battery projects or similar products within the automotive, machinery or marine sector.
•    Great understanding of tool driven manufacturing technologies and system simulations.
•    Good communicator because you will present system recommendations and strategies on different management levels and engineering forums.
•    A self-motivated person, a self-starter and a true problem solver.
