Position Type:  Graduate

Transport is at the core of modern society. Imagine using your expertise to shape sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions for the future. If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next-gen technologies and the sharpest collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.

The Finance Graduate Program

If you are up for the challenge of developing our future Finance function and want to be a part of the innovative world of Volvo Group, this is the graduate program for you!

During 12 intense months, you will get an end-to-end perspective of our Finance functions and how we co-drive the business, both from a local as well as from a Volvo Group perspective. From day one, you will have a permanent role in one of our organizations, where you will play an active role in daily deliveries. In parallel, you will participate in a number of common training weeks with the other Finance graduates throughout the year, do various job rotations to increase your insights of the Volvo Group and last but not least you will grow as a person. Your professional and personal growth will be supported through individual and team development sessions, mentoring, coaching and feedback.

You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business, which will help you get a holistic view and build your future career within the Volvo Group.  Besides your manager, who will guide and support you in your daily job, you will have a supportive network of peer graduates, colleagues across the globe and senior leaders to help you excel. We hope you will learn as much from us as we will from you!

Our Organization - Group Truck Operations

A transformation is ongoing within the Volvo Group and Production logistics (PL), and we are aiming for a digitalized supply chain. This will include new systems, new roles, and new ways of working.

Your Future Team

We are a strong Business control team with a mission to support our operational colleagues with a stable financial set up in this transformation journey. The Business controlling team in PL Transport Europe is composed of one team of Business controllers and one team of Cost controllers. We are located in Arendal (Sweden), Gent (Belgium) and Lyon (France). We are more than pleased to welcome a future colleague in our team!

How you will make an impact

You will work in an European and global supply chain context that provides an interesting diversity both in people and responsibility areas. We are controlling all the freight cost within the Volvo group for the European flows and overseas flows from Europe. You will work together with colleagues within Transport Operation Europe but to a great extent also with colleagues in other parts of Volvo Group. There are plenty of opportunities to build a strong network.

Your main mission will be to create transparency in our financial performance. To create this, you, your colleagues and global network will have some key challenges and focus areas:

  • Financial stability: Secure a stable base to understand the overall financial performance
  • Analytic capability: Explore financial data in an efficient way for information purposes
  • Story telling: Take the information analyzed and make it into something actionable

Closings and estimates are of course important deliveries, but most of the work is done in between to improve our processes and understand our business. A closing should not be a surprise.

We strongly believe that you are not only responsible for your day-to-day deliveries, but also responsible for improving the way we work, grow as a person and help your colleagues to grow.

Who are you?

We believe you have a genuine interest in finance or business controlling. You want to understand what’s behind the figures and provide clear data-based recommendations for our business. You are a problem solver with great analytical and digital skills. Your curiosity drives you to continuously seek improvements and embrace change. As a people-oriented team player, you easily collaborate and build positive relationships within the team.

We believe that you either have a degree in a finance-related field, or in logistics or supply chain management, but have since specialized more towards finance, business controlling, or data analytics, since this can help you understand our business area.

Qualifications for this role:

  • BSc of MSc in Business administration or relevant financial related field(s)
  • Experience in data analytics or visualization tools (such as Power BI, BW or Qlick) is an advantage
  • You are fluent in both spoken and written English
  • Excluding work during your studies, you should not have more than 2 years of previous full-time work experience prior to or after graduation.
  • To be eligible for this position you also need to have a valid study or work permit for Sweden (if not a Swedish citizen)

What’s in it for you?

Our Finance Graduate Program begins in September 2026, and you will be offered a permanent position at Volvo Group. As a graduate, you will be part of a collaborative environment where learning and growth are at the heart of everything we do. These are some of the benefits of joining our program:

  • An exciting and global working environment with experienced and supportive colleagues
  • Possibility to gain international experience through a short-term assignment abroad during your first year
  • A competitive salary and a permanent position from day one
  • A variety of workshops and seminars designed to help you grow into your future career
  • Endless opportunities to shape your own career within the Volvo Group
