Global Mobility Specialist - International Mobility Business Partner

We are looking for an International Mobility Business Partner (IMBP) to join our Global Mobility team located in Gothenburg, Sweden.  In this role, you will be a trusted partner to HR, managers and other mobility stakeholders.

We are a truly global team providing global mobility services and solutions with colleagues located in EMEA, Americas and APAC regions.  We serve as business advisors and provide global mobility expertise for long and short-term international assignments, foreign local hires and consultative advice for other cross-border arrangements. 

Role description

 

In your role as an IMBP, you will ensure that the end-to-end process of transferring employees between countries is as smooth as possible.  Together with the team, you will manage the assignment lifecycle, including for example support for immigration, relocation, tax, social security, pension and payroll, etc.  This requires close collaboration and coordination with different internal stakeholders such as HR, managers, Finance as well as external providers for relocation, immigration, tax, global insurance, etc. 

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Provide global mobility guidance and support to employees and their families, HR and managers.
  • Prepare Compensation & benefit package & cost projections; initiate relocation & other provider services and handle related administrative tasks. 
  • Conduct meetings with assignees to present terms and conditions and provide policy interpretation and guidance.
  • Frequent communication with all involved parties.  Act as the primary point of contact for issues related to cross border arrangements.
  • Manage expectations by proactive communication and secure that each stakeholder is aware of their role in the process and executes accordingly.
  • Advise and train on global mobility policy/directives, processes and procedures to help secure a clear understanding by all parties.
  • Identify tax risks and support in securing compliance requirements in collaboration with our internal tax and compliance specialist.
  • Proactively seek process improvement and efficiency opportunities.
  • Continously develop in the area of Global Mobility and keep up to date in a dynamic environment.

Required experience and skills: 

 

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, a related field or equivalent work experience.  Human Resources experience (if degree is not in Human Resources).
  • Proven experience as a Global Mobility Specialist or in a similar role, managing global mobility programs and assignments.
  • Knowledge of global mobility processes, including payroll, tax, social security, expatriate compensation, pension, relocation, immigration, insurance, compliance requirements, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at different level of the organization. Ability to explain complex issues in a simple and clear manner. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Analytical skills with an ability to pay close attention to details while at the same time keeping a holistic view. 
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines and to navigate complex international regulations.
  • High degree of cultural sensitivity and awareness of cultural considerations in global assignments.
  • Strong customer focus with ability to proactively set expectations and build relations across all levels and cultures within the organization
  • Fluent in both the Swedish and English language
