A key component within the electrified powertrain is the Energy Storage Engineering. At our section, we are accountable for the lifecycle management of the Energy Storage Systems, from advanced engineering, product development into the maintenance phase.

 
We now recruiting a Group Manager Cell Simulation

Responsibilities 
As manager for the Cell Simulation team you will lead a team of highly skilled and experienced battery cell simulation engineers. The team is responsible for building a strong Energy Storage Engineering and Cell simulation area as a part of the system design and integration throughout the lifecycle of the product. This work in being performed in close cooperation with the other Cell Simulation and Energy System and powertrain system engineering teams globally. The team will continuously strengthen our modeling and simulation capabilities to secure a robust world-class Energy Storage System. 

 

The global Cell modeling and simulation engineering networks will be led from this team and the team will prepare technical decisions from early concepts to improvements in current products. As manager for the Cell Simulation team you will also be responsible for the cross-functional alignment around Battery Cell simulations in close cooperation with both internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications 

Minimum 6 years of experience in Battery Cell technology, modeling and simulations 

 

  • Education at M.Sc. level or similar. PhD in material science, physics or chemistry is a merit 
  • Deep understanding of LIB cell simulation and modeling tools (COMSOL, Ansys, Star CCM+, Python, MATLAB, Simulink etc.) 
  • Empirical cell test skills to close the gap between simulated and experimental results. 
  • Good knowledge in analysis and design of battery components for electric vehicle applications 
  • Strong drive and energy level with ability to create a high performing working culture 

 

You are a leader with courage and integrity who can lead and drive changes together with the team.  

In addition you are team oriented with proven interest in people development. Result oriented and always looking for improvements in our way of working 

Communicative and with good influencing skills. Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Previous experience in a leadership position is a merit
