Our Energy Storage Engineering  department plays a key role in this journey — from advanced engineering to product development and lifecycle management of energy storage systems. We’re now looking for a Group Manager – Battery Cell Technology to lead our expert team in building world-class knowledge and innovation in battery cell development.

What you will do 

As Group Manager for the Battery Cell Technology Team, you will be responsible for scouting, characterizing, and selecting cells for our battery portfolio, as well as leading the series development of battery cells from concept phase to SOP. Together with your team, you will build world-class knowledge in battery cell technology while owning and driving our cell roadmap. 

 

You own our cell roadmap, decide on advanced engineering projects and support cell selection and development in current series projects and product improvements. You will work closely with our storage system groups by selecting cells and balancing requirements. You are running a cross-functional network internally and work closely with our key suppliers.

Requirements 

  • At least 5 years of experience with Lithium-ion battery cell series development within OEM 

  • Experienced in development of components with complex system integration 

  • Skilled in technical requirement setting and supplier management 

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration experience 

  • Proven experienced in technology roadmap and strategy development  

  • Knowledge of IP management 

  • Excellent communication skills 

  • PhD degree in Chemistry, Electro-Chemistry or Material Science is a merit. 

  • Managerial experience within automotive industry is a merit 

  • Fluent in English – verbal and written
