Supply Network Resiliency & Project Management (SNR&PM) Purchasing is a global organization within GTP with holistic responsibility over the product project portfolio, supply partner performance and supply partner risk and launch readiness.
We deliver customer value via end-to-end product evolution ownership & resilient supply network. We enable the best performance & customer success outcomes while fully coordinated with Volvo Group Technology, Volvo Group Operations, Business Areas, Business Units and Brands within an efficient governance structure.

What is your mission and your main responsibilities?
As Head of Commodity EU Cab Projects, you report to the Head of Vehicle Commodities Project Europe, and you are responsible for:
- The full development, leadership, and engagement together with your team of Commodity Project Managers Purchasing (PMPs). You will have among others to secure resources and their development.
- Driving the team’s activities towards the wanted position and secure needed communication with your main stakeholders
- Securing the purchasing deliverables, QDCFTSR wise, within the Cab Commodity for the Volvo Trucks & Renault Trucks portfolios, being the GTP representative for multiples governance forums in Gothenburg & Lyon.
- Collaborating with Supply Partner Risk and Program Readiness team, especially with the intro-block & Program Management overall organization, frontloading and mitigating potential risks in the project phase, securing full QDCFTSR and intro-block readiness.
- Securing needed communication and collaboration with your main Purchasing, Engineering and Manufacturing stakeholders. You will especially work in close collaboration with the GTP line organization, and notably the line Managers.
- Being a key member of the Strategic Line for the GTP Project Management area, and you are a strong contributor within the GTP Global Network.
- Contributing to the development of the Supply Network Resiliency & Project Management (SNR&PM) extended Purchasing Leadership team, as well as the European & Global Project Office extended Leadership team.

You must be business driven, excel in communication skills, especially in cross-functional work coordination. Other key criteria:
• University degree in Engineering/technology and/or Business Administration
• Experience from Automotive is an advantage
• Previous work experience of people management roles, preferably within Purchasing department
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills lead by holistic and transparent leadership
• Capacity to coach, inspire and drive results in a global matrix organization
• Solid knowledge of Agile Methodology & Project/Program management deliveries
• Face problems, act quickly and directly meanwhile securing mid, long-term targets
• Ability to handle uncertainty and the unexpected
• Provide direct & actionable feedback
