Data is a function within Group Digital and IT with the goal of unlocking the power of data for the full Volvo Group to become a fully data-driven company! With data, the core component of our transformation journey, we will, together with our data talents, make the Volvo Group 2030 vision happen. We will take care of all the aspects of Data, how it is quality assured, documented, made available, prepared and consumed through BI, Analytics and AI. We have an ambitious transformation on going, with the implementation of the Data Layer in Azure as well as the reinforcement of Data Governance and Data Management in the full Group.

 

We collaborate with other parts of the organization, both in Group Digital and IT, with TD/BAs and Group Functions. We foster an environment where ideas, thoughts and opinions can be shared. We are team players with clear common ambitions, and we win together. 

This is how you could make an impact

As the Head of Trucks Brands Data Analytics & BI, you will be key in driving the transformation of how value is delivered from data. In this role, you will have the opportunity to transform the area into an agile approach for data analytics. You will be a part of the A&BI Management Team and report to the Head of A&BI Delivery. These will be some selected responsibilities:

 

  • Deliver Data Products: prepackaged and documented set of data aiming to be consumed broadly in the Volvo Group
  • Deliver AI, Analytical and BI products, securing reuse possibility across the Group
  • Build teams knowledgeable in the data included in each business domain
  • Manage relationship with the different Truck Brands in Volvo Group on the data related topics (Data products, AI Analytics and BI deliveries)

Who are you?

We believe you want to take your career to the next level, working with amazing people around the world. You have a university degree or equivalent and several years of experience from leading people positions, preferably within IT management. It is also valued to have a passion for building and motivating world class, high performing teams and leading change together with others. You have vision and experience of how to transform the analytics area to the next stage. You have solid experience in value creation from data on an enterprise scale, from automotive/industrial business understanding to the technology specifics of the data ecosystem.


In your previous roles, you have delivered value by creating state-of-the-art AI, analytical and BI applications for critical business usage and understand the latest development in the data management area and how this can be applied to AI Analytics & BI. You have developed a deep understanding of the impact of the AI revolution. Furthermore, it is beneficial if you have experience of defining the strategy within the data analytics area and managing the products and deliveries with a roadmap approach. You are experienced in driving the priority setting and planning cycle for the area, including overall capacity management and resource allocation. As the role requires a strong networker, you have experience from leveraging vendors and partners in a strategic way to reach shared objectives.
