What you will do
As a Global Integration Architect, you will be part of VFS which, in partnership with the Volvo Group brands, is facilitating the development of common Services platforms that are supporting Volvo Group’s expansion.
Designing solutions compliant with the CAST model (Common Architecture, Shared Technology) allows VFS to create scalable, cost-effective global solutions while giving Volvo Group brands the ability to deliver high value to their customers and employees.
You will also provide guidance and ensure adherence to best practices, standards, and target architecture as per the VFS Design Authority process.
As an IT Integration Architect, you will work within a cross-functional team to design and implement integrations understanding the project/product scope, objectives, and business value. You will engage with business stakeholders and project teams to guarantee the highest quality and performance of IT integrations. You will be part of the integration platform team at VFS, driving technical capabilities and establishing effective workflows. Additionally, your role will involve strategic collaboration with the Volvo Group Integration team to align with business needs at VFS.
Your future team
You will report directly to the Integration Office Chapter Lead within VFS D&IT and will be assigned to a stable, global cross-functional team. Qualifications likely required to be successful in this role include:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Integration Architect, working within an Azure cloud-based ecosystem, with solid experience in IBM’s integration technologies and patterns.
• In-depth understanding of Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, security, DevOps, and AI.
• Strong grasp of common architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven, serverless, API gateway) and their application in Azure-based solutions.
• Proven ability to design scalable, reliable, and secure integration architectures.
• Experience in designing complex, global solutions.
• Hands-on experience implementing integration patterns in Azure environments using tools such as IBM MQ, IBM API Connect (APIC), Logic Apps, and Azure Functions.
• Open-minded and eager to learn new technologies; a creative thinker capable of addressing complex challenges.
• Knowledge of web security best practices and techniques.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Fluency in English is required.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience mentoring others, providing technical guidance, and steering product deliverables.
• Experience in the automotive and/or financial banking industries is a plus.
