Internship Description
Are you passionate about making a real-world impact? Do you want to be part of shaping how a global company works with human rights in practice?
We are now looking for an engaged and structured intern to support the Human Rights team. You will work closely with senior specialists and contribute to strengthening the Volvo Group’s human rights due diligence framework, governance structures, and communication efforts.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in implementing international frameworks such as the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the OECD Guidelines in a global company context.
You will get hands-on experience, meaningful responsibilities, and the opportunity to contribute to projects that matter, while working closely with experienced professionals in an open and supportive team environment.
The location for this internship is Gothenburg, Sweden.
The internship period is 4-6 months (flexible) and will start September/October 2026.
What You Will Work On
Shape how we work: help develop blueprints for key governance forums
Communicate what matters: create engaging communication materials for our human rights agenda
Visualize impact: develop ideas for how we communicate our salient human rights risks
Be part of the team: support governance meetings and collaboration
Make a difference: contribute to our work on heightened Human Rights Due Diligence
Who You Are
You have a strong interest in human rights, sustainability and responsible business
You are currently studying (or recently graduated) in a relevant field such as human rights, law, political science, or business
You are analytical and enjoy structuring complex topics and turning them into clear messages and actions
You enjoy project work and coordination
You are a strong communicator in English, both written and spoken
You are proactive, curious, and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of UNGPs, OECD Guidelines, or EU regulations is a plus
